To honor extraordinary leaders and mentors in the Quad Cities, YWCA Quad Cities and the YES SHE CAN Series are hosting the second annual CHAMPIONS OF CHANGE Awards Luncheon on Thursday, February 23, 2023 @ Waterfront Convention Center, Bettendorf (1130am - 100pm). This award program was created to specifically celebrate those who mentor and empower women in the Quad Cities. It is vital for individuals that are stepping up beside women in building a better and more gender equal community to be recognized. CHAMPIONS OF CHANGE are individuals who are willing to step up, work together, listen, learn and lead with action. By honoring them, we hope to encourage others to take notice of their leadership and positive impact.

"A gender equal community is when everyone in the community, women, men, and gender diverse people have equal rights, responsibilities, and opportunities. Everyone is affected by gender inequality. With that said, I have mad it my responsibility to make certain we individually support whatever we need to do to create an atmosphere where everyone, especially women, are respected as an equal in all communities."

"Whether it is in foreign countries or in my local community, I will continue to take part in activities to engage women in dialogue about opportunity and ways to build strong future leaders. I feel proactively working together it is possible to build pathways that meet the needs of the individual, as well as the needs of my company and my community to build a strong future with talented leaders."
The nomination form is closed and our finalists have been selected!
All nominees will go through a selection process and the top 3 male and female finalists will be chosen by a hand-selected committee of community leaders. Those finalists are then tasked with writing an essay, which will be used in the final selection process of the MALE and FEMALE CHAMPION OF CHANGE. Award winners will be announced at a luncheon event scheduled for February 23, 2023 and will be held at Waterfront Convention Center in Bettendorf.
